Don Bosco makes statement in win
In its last national game of the season, Don Bosco refused to let national power St. Edwards (Ohio) get in the way of their quest for a national title. From the first snap of the game, Bosco dominated with their runningback rotation of Jabrill Peppers, Elijah Shumate, and John Wilkins. After last weeks nailbiter over rival Bergen Catholic, a lot of High-School football analysts questioned how good Don Bosco actually was. But when the clock hit 0:00 at the end of the fourth quarter, all those questions had been answered. Junior defensive end Razohnn Gross stepped up big time with 10 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. After the game, the junior said “For me, I know I have something to prove every game,” Gross said. “I know there are people who doubt me. We all knew what was at stake in this game, and I wanted to come out and show what I can do. We were running on our ‘A’ motors.” (Gross) The Ironmen didn’t look back after their 27-7 lead at the end of the first half. The next big test for the Ironmen will be when they are likely to face rival Bergen Catholic on December 3rd in the state championship game.
The High-School football world has to know that Don Bosco (New Jersey) has established itself after a nailbiter vs Bergen Catholic. They completely demolished St. Edward (Ohio) in this weekends matchup and are on a 40 game winning streak. New Jersey High-School football is for real with a combined record of 6-1 this year vs out of state opponents. My alternate name for this article is Don Bosco steamrolls in last national game.
