Adding a piece to the puzzle today… Or not

Thanksgiving day football games make the holiday enjoyable. Usually, it’s the week before the state championship and its most teams last games. Due to the hurricane, its now the week before the state semi-finals and more teams are still in the hunt for a championship. So a little twist. But there’s no way that could be what’s important this year. Two Thanksgiving games are going to add a piece to the puzzle. A puzzle that has put many in question of who the best football team in NJ really is. Bergen has had its moments where it looked like no one could stop their offense.St. Joe’s is well on its way to winning another Group 3 state championship, but they can still sink the Bosco ship today and be at the pinnacle of the big 4. There is no doubt that Paramus Catholic can beat Bergen Catholic with Peppers in the wildcat formation. And last but not least, there’s Don Bosco. The Ironmen started of shaky this year with a loss to Gilman (Maryland) but have found their way when the offense picked up vs Alta (Utah). Since then, victories over Paramus Catholic and Bergen Catholic
helped them certify the #1 spot in New Jersey. But today could break up the puzzle or help fit one of its last few pieces together. After witnessing what has happened so far in New Jersey football this year, anything can happen.

Predictions:

Tenafly beats Dumont 38-13

Hackensack over Teaneck 31-7

Bosco over Joes 34-26

P.C. over Bergen 38-35

Have a great Thanksgiving and be safe.
