The I-95 Classic is moving north and will host its its third event in as many years at Kean University in New Jersey on September 6 and 7. Among the 5 games taking place, 3 of New Jersey’s top 5 catholic schools (St Peter’s Prep St Joseph Regional (Montvale), and Paramus Catholic) will participate. Last season, New Jersey came up short losing two of the three games this past year at the Naval Academy in Anapolis (Maryland). This year, Paramus Catholic has joined the St. Joseph (Montvale) and St. Peters Prep in an effort to justify itself as a national contender. Vice President Lamar Smith called the Paramus Catholic vs Gilman the “premiere game” of the classic at a press conference on Tuesday. All of the New Jersey participants had great things to say about the event that will kick off the 2013 high school season in New Jersey. Both St Joseph (Montvale) coach Tony Karsich and St Peter’s Prep coach Rich Hansen spoke highly of the event saying last year was a great experience and they look forward to this years games.
