After helping his team win its first State Championship since 1990, Paramus Catholic’s Billy Ray Mitchell became a hot topic among college coaches. The Class of 2014 offensive tackle now has Virginia Tech at the top of his list, but that could change. Mitchell is postponing his decision date because he has some more interest from an SEC and Big 10 school.
“Some other schools started inquiring for information like Tennesee and Wisconsin”said Mitchell”.
“As of right now im Working on a wisconsin visit”. The Badgers are the first school from the Big 10 to acquire information about the 6’3” lineman. Mitchell is currently 1 of 6 Paramus Catholic 2014 athletes with Division 1 offers.
Mitchell is looking for “a place that my family can see me or towards and live in an area near” He also mentioned that a “great education and good tradition” is important to him.
Mitchell on Wisconsin:
“They said they like my athletic ability and my agressiveness and physicality on the line. I think my tape helps display my athletic ability with me going out and running and making blocks I like to get physical during the games”.
A decision could come sometime after his senior season and once he has a chance to visit Tennessee and Wisconsin.
