2014 Holy Spirit defensive tackle Ray Ellis remained a contributor for the Spartans on both sides of the ball this season and helped them reach the Non-Public, Group 2 title game at Rutgers.
“I’m pretty much keeping all of the schools that have been recruiting me in the mix because I’ve tried my best to put my recruitment aside during the season.” Ellis said.
The 6’2” senior holds offers from Villanova, Delaware, Coastal Carolina, Bowling Green, Miami of Ohio, Buffalo, Albany, and UMass.
Ellis said he will visit Bowling Green this weekend for his official visit.
“I like how they (Bowling Green) have established themselves as a great program thus far, but they’re going through some coaching changes now so it’s like starting the whole process with them over again.” he said.
At this point in the process, he does not have a top school. Ellis has taken visits to Villanova, UMass, and Delaware.
Among the schools recruiting him the most, Ellis named Bowling Green, Villanova, Delaware, Coastal Carolina, and UMass.
Ellis also made it to the NJSIAA State Wrestling Championships in 2013 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
