Six FBS schools offered St. Peter’s Prep outside linebacker Jordan Fox last week. It all started when UConn was the first to extend Fox a tender. Then Georgia, Vanderbilt, Nebraska and Virginia stopped by and offered. Rutgers also joined in and offered Fox on Thursday, Dec. 12.
“It was a great feeling, I feel blessed to receive offers from such prestigious schools,” he said.
Fox’s highlight tape reveals that he is usually put up on the line of scrimmage as opposed to covering a slot receiver. That has put him in a position to defend the run and set a perimeter, which he does well. However, Fox has also shown through film that he can drop back in pass coverage as well. His 6’3, 215 pound frame fits well for an FBS linebacker.
Fox told me that schools like his physicality, speed to the ball and his knowledge of the game. Although Rutgers invited him to several games this year, he has yet to take a trip to Piscataway. In fact, Fox has not visited any schools.
More offers may be on the way for the stud 2015 outside linebacker. Fox also has interest from Miami, Penn State, Ohio State, Maryland, and Georgia Tech.
When I asked Fox about what he was looking for in a school, he said, “A school that makes me feel at home, a school with great academics, and has a great athletic program.”
