NUC All-Star Game Recap

A strong first half performance helped team NJ defeat team NY in the NUC All-Star Classic on Sunday night. The event featured more than 15 Division 1-bound athletes from NY and NJ.

The game was put together by Dave Schuman, the CEO of the NUC. New Jersey put up 24 points in the first half with the help of two touchdowns from Ohio State commit Noah Brown. Who stood out:

Max Cepeda- The River Dell running back was named the Offensive layer of the game. Cepeda rushed for 42 yards on eight carries and a touchdown. He will play at Muhlenberg College in the fall.

Noah Brown– He had four receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. He wouldn’t go down on first contact. The Ohio State commit was more active on the field than any other player.

Noa Merritt– The Boston College commit from Pope John (Sparta) had four tackles for loss.

Tajier Jefferson– The former Queen of Peace LB had three tackles and a forced fumble.

Tyler Hill- The Cincinnati commit from Buffalo, NY (St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute) accounted for both of the NY touchdowns.
