Brandon Coleman visited his top school, Yale on Wed. Abril 16. The visit helped the Bulldogs a commanding lead in his commitment.

“They had the whole offensive staff there. They gave me a tour of the campus. They had me on the white board to see what I do an they were impressed with that. We were just talking about me coming there and what they see for my future there,” he said.

The 2015 Archbishop Stepinac (NY) quarterback called his visit “out of this world”.

“It’s safe to say it’s almost like a soft verbal. They are definitely at the top of my list.” Coleman said.

There’s a lot to like about Coleman besides his commitment to academics and downfield vision. The dual-threat quarterback’s film has impressed coaches from Yale, who offered in March.

“They were saying that the reason was because I come from a program that is very similar to the stuff they run, and my ability to throw the ball on the run and in the pocket,” he said.

The family atmosphere at Yale was something that stood out to the 2015 quarterback.

In his junior season, Coleman threw for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 715 yards and eight touchdowns.

Coleman holds offers from Davidson and Harvard, both of which he has visited.

Cornell, Penn, and Princeton could offer Coleman down the road as well.

Coleman is expected to visit each of those Ivy League schools prior to his senior year. But for the here and now, Yale has the upper hand.
